Dakhin' is located in the heart of the Merchant City, Glasgow and is the first authentic South Indian Kitchen in Scotland. After much accolade and acclaim for our first offering 'The Dhabba' - Authentic North Indian Diner, we now have another venue to give your taste buds the surprise of South Indian flavours.

We have carefully hand-picked some of the finest talent in South India to bring to Scotland. For the first time the delight of a real 'Dosa' (a mouth watering thin rice crepe which can be savoured with a variety of fillings or as accompaniment to the delightful South Indian curries) can be experienced at Dakhin - just like the one you would get in India.

The Gate

Casual bar and dining experience in the Merchant City of Glasgow. The Gate bar food menu offers freshly made burgers, steaks, pasta, salads, sandwiches and everyone's usual favourites including a weekend brunch menu.

The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden on the other hand is a fifty seater restaurant offering food in the casual style of Tapas with influences and ingredients from Asia and the Pacific rim. An excellent range of Champagnes, wines, beers, spirits and cocktails are available all day and night.

The Trades Hall

Situated in the Merchant City - the heart of Glasgow, the Trades Hall is one of the most important historic buildings in Glasgow. The Trades Hall is an ideal venue for events such as dinners, conferences, weddings and meetings. Within this venue The Grand Hall is an opulent setting for all types of functions. Let your event benefit from the prestigious ambience of the original Adam features and late Victorian decor.

A fascinating gilt-painted frieze depicting the Trades of Glasgow runs round the hall, which can hold up to 230 seated for dinners. The Saloon on the other hand can hold up to 100 people for receptions or 60 for dinners. It adjoins the Grand Hall making it suitable for your pre-dinner drinks reception or as a breakout room. The Saloon features mahogany-panelled walls inscribed with gilt lettering, three stained glass windows, baroque electroliers and a white marble Adam fireplace, ideal as a background for memorable photography.
